Top 5 Things to Look Into for Your Kid’s Birthday Party

Being thrifty for your kid’s birthday party can be done. You don’t necessarily have to splurge big time just to get big time results. Just a little tweaking on the decorations with these key items should do the trick.

Balloons

This is the one thing that shouldn’t be missing in your kid’s birthday party. Decorating your area using balloons sets the mood for the party.

Birthday parties need to have an inviting environment using vibrant colors of balloons and other decorations. And lastly, kids can take home a balloon or two as part of their ‘prize’ for coming!

We also did a fun DIY for an event just to tweak this concept. Check out our CYO balloon and streamer here.

Program

It’s best to create a simple program or have a friend to help you with it. Games will most likely dominate most of your program so it’s best to spread it by category for kids, adults and for both. If you’re not really keen in hosting the party, you may have a friend or a colleague to do that for you. His or her hosting doesn’t have to be fancy. All it takes is some confidence and a whole lot of fun to pull it off!

Feeling lazy? Why not hire an affordable kiddie package that has all things in place! You can check out your local shops or even ask them for a quotation that fits your budget.

Goody Bags

Where there are games, game prizes are expected. And you don’t have to splurge on them. You can use home-made treats as game prizes. You can also mix these goodies such as small biscuits and snacks with a customized ‘thank you’ note attached to it. It’s thrifty and easy to do and won’t take much of your time planning for other important things for the party.

Food

If you’re planning to have the party over at your house, then having friend chicken, pizza, spaghetti, burgers or barbecue might be good. These are easy to make and you won’t have to spend so much time in doing them, letting you work on other things that needs your attention. Before the party, you may also serve appetizers such as chips, nachos, pretzels, nuts and other finger foods that are readily available for your picking at your nearby store.

Sweets

A kiddie party won’t be complete with some complementary sweets. It’s the most essential part of any kiddie party – secondary to cakes. Ranging from candies to brownies, all these gives delight to every person with a sweet tooth.

You can check local shops for customized treats of your favorite characters or choice of theme. It’s easy to find and prepare these treats. If you’ve got time, here is a CYO lollies you can do at home to give it a more customized-feels to the treat.

You can always opt to hire a coordinator to do the work. Though they might stretch your set budget, they are worth it. There are lots of party coordinators that offer their services at reasonable rates. However, it’s best to check for reviews online or you can ask neighbors or colleagues for reference.

Hope this blogs helps all you #tipidmommies out there.

Until next post! 🙂

5 Great Kids’ 3rd Birthday Party Ideas

Yehey! It’s your kid’s 3rd birthday party! And you know what that means, right? It’s time to prepare your creative juices and wallets to make everything downright fun and memorable. But before you get too excited, take time to read the following birthday party ideas first.

Stephanie Nanini

The party’s more fun when Spongebob and Patrick are around.

Idea #1: Go back to the basics. Erase the notion that you need to spend big on cakes, food, and entertainment just to make your little guests scream with delight. Keeping it simple is actually a good idea. You can incorporate inexpensive and fun activities, like the undying Trip to Jerusalem, Pin the Tail on the Donkey, and piñata.

Idea #2: Save the sweets for last. As you all know, sugar and kids are a lethal combination. You don’t want to stress yourself with a bunch of sugar-high kids during the party, do you?

Idea #3: Get things moving! If you’ve mistakenly served sweets first, don’t worry. There’s still a solution to your problem. Just make sure your activities will manage to hook their interest or keep them moving. Maybe you could let them go on a color search game, where they need to find objects with identical color.

Jane Dones

Idea #4: Win or lose, give every kid a prize. Of course, you don’t want your guests to leave the party luhaan (in tears), right? The prizes don’t have to be expensive. Perhaps you could give away coloring books, toys, foods, story books, and the likes.

Idea #5: Go all out with your theme! Hey, it’s only once a year that you get to celebrate your kid’s birthday, so you might as well make the best out of it. Make sure that everything is coordinated with the overall theme of the party.

Like, if you want a luau theme party, you could let everyone wear fancy Hawaiian tropical costumes, make the whole venue look like you’re on a beach, and perhaps get Bikini Bottom’s most favorite residents, Spongebob and Patrick, to attend the party.

Read 7 Practical and Fun 1st Birthday Party Ideas

Congratulations, your kid is finally having his (or her) 1st birthday party! And just like other lucky parents, I’m pretty sure that you feel so happy for reaching this incredible point in your life. Need tips for planning this special occasion? Here are some 1st birthday party ideas you can consider.

1. Whether it’s generic or inspired from your kid’s favorites, always have a theme for your kid’s birthday party. It helps give your guests a good impression that everything was planned well.

2. Make sure that you integrate your theme with your party supplies, decorations, games, party favors, food, and celebrant’s outfit. For instance, for the 1st birthday party of my friend’s niece, the theme was Barney. So, the birthday girl wore a pretty violet dress complete with tiara and had Barney-themed party favors, cake, and activities.

3. Go green with your banner and signs. Instead of using tarps, why not use recyclable and biodegradable materials, such as construction papers, old newspapers and cartons. You’re not only making the occasion more special, but you’re also contributing to the preservation of our planet.

4. Remember, safety first. Furniture with pointed edges, sharp utensils, matches, and electrical sockets should be child-proofed. Though balloons are one of the highlights of any birthday party for children, it’s best to keep them away from small kids’ reach to avoid accidental popping.

5.
Pay attention to your guests’ needs. Foods and drinks should be replenished now and then. The bathroom should be clean and smells good. Don’t forget to put hand washing liquid, tissue and garbage can.

6. In case a few of your guests breastfeed their precious ones, make sure that you have a room where they can specifically do that privately.

7. Want everything to be smooth sailing? Then be sure to plan ahead of time (highly recommended). If you and your spouse are too busy, you could always hire the services of a local party shop or event organizer.
